WSBE26 Doctoral School
The ‘World Sustainable Built Environment Doctoral School’ will take place in Melbourne on the 9th of June 2026 at RMIT University (Building 8 Level 8). This is the day prior to the official World Sustainable Built Environment Conference opening, allowing interested PhD candidates to attend both the Doctoral School and the main Conference.
The Doctoral School aims to bring together promising young scholars from across the World that are studying topics related to a sustainable built environment. The in-person School will involve a keynote panel, presentations, and feedback from experienced PhD supervisors and examiners.
The theme of the Doctoral School is ‘Caring for Country: Learning from the Past to Secure a Sustainable Future.’ Scholars are encouraged to reflect upon past events relevant to their research and how any learnings could shape their work for more sustainable practices of land, water and air in the built environment. These reflections are encouraged to be shared during the presentations.
